Date: 11:30am-2pm, Saturday, January 28, 2023
Come join in-person the joyous occasion of the Lunar New Year with the AAPI (Asian American Pacific Islanders) community. Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is commonly celebrated throughout different parts of Asia, typically lasting 15 days. 2023 is the year of the Water Rabbit, starting on January 22nd. Regardless of your country of origin, if you celebrated the lunar new year, join us for a sit to set intentions for 2023 and share your family traditions. We would like to use this occasion to honor ancestry and heritage and explore what this holiday means to each of us.
We will have a sit and group sharing from 11:30am-1pm, and a vegetarian potluck from 1-2pm. Please bring a dish that you would like to share.
The gathering will be offered through New York Insight Meditation Center.
