2023 5-Month Course: Soulcentric Midlife (In-Person, 2/25 – 6/3)

by Lin Wang Gordon

Are you in your 40s and 50s and thinking about the second half of your life? Every life stage brings its own gifts.  Each life stage has its own purpose in our development as a whole being.  If our life were the four seasons, 40s/50s could be the early fall.  While our culture likes to associate this time in our life with turmoil and...

Testimonials

“It would seem that nature-based meditation and technology would not be very compatible, however, Lin Gordon’s creative and organized approach to a socially distanced virtual meditation program was fantastic. The day followed a clear structure and the practices such as tree meditation and square footage truly helped me to deepen my meditation practice and connect with nature.” - A participant from a hybrid online/offline program - "Cultivating Resilience and Wisdom through Nature-Based Practices"

"I have been meditating for a few years. I thought I know a little bit about meditation, but I realized I know so very little about the different ways to meditate and experience and feel. We did some amazing practices which really made me present and allowed me to experience things in new ways." - A participant from a city park event

"A meditative hike does not just combine hiking and meditation – instead it creates an entirely different experience altogether...Lin’s careful planning and skillful tailoring of the hike created an experience which heightened our awareness and enhanced our ability to connect with nature and each other in a meaningful way." - A participant from a fall hike

About

Lin Wang Gordon has been practicing insight meditation in the last decade under the guidance of Jonathan Foust, Mark Coleman, and Sebene Selassie. In stillness and silence, she discovers the transformative power of mindfulness practices to help live a life of flow, joy, grace and gratitude.

Lin was particularly moved by the power of nature meditation practices to connect with a deep sense of love, wonder, resilience and belonging.  She graduated from Mark Coleman’s Awake in the Wild Nature Meditation Teacher Training in 2017 and has since taught at New York Insight Meditation Center and around the country.  She was part of the Spirit Rock’s Community Dharma Leaders Program (CDL6).

She offers nature meditation programs from half days in city parks, hikes in the Hudson Valley, to weekend retreats. She also teaches ecodharma to help people face and engage with climate crisis from a place of love, wisdom, compassion, and equanimity.  She co-hosts the Sacred Earth Sangha of the New York Insight Meditation Center.
